Earl Hunt is an Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the University of Washington in Seattle. He visited USQ to deliver his presentation entitled 'The Economics of Intelligence on the issues facing the contemporary workforce and the skills that employers are looking for from high school graduates'. The presentation was based on a study being conducted on an international basis, comparing the demand and availability of skills in different countries.
Over his career Professor Hunt has published in a wide variety of areas related to cognition. He has held positions on a number of editorial boards and is past editor of Cognitive Psychology and the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. Both are major publications in the field of human cognition. Professor Hunt has published over 200 articles, books, and chapters.
